We are looking for a full time Factory & Assembly Worker to work with our great team at our Mt Barker manufacturing facility. Your duties will be to make and assemble a wide range of custom-made indoor and outdoor window furnishing products in our factory. To be successful you will be someone with a good work ethic, solid hands on mechanical aptitude, will be reliable, and you have a positive outlook on life. We have created a wonderful working culture within our business, and it’s very important this person fits in and enjoys this environment like we do.

Factory & Assembly Worker Responsibilities:

This position involves, but not limited to:-

  • Work independently on standard assemblies with minimal supervision after training
  • Cut, measure, fit and assemble medium duty components on a wide range of products
  • Set up and operate equipment and machinery
  • Operate various hand and power tools
  • Adherence to Quality Control procedures
  • General housekeeping and cleanliness
  • Assisting other production and factory staff

Factory & Assembly Worker Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory, willingness to learn is essential.
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Solid mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work hands on in a medium level physical role
  • Understanding and commitment to safety in the workplace
  • Good interpersonal and ability to foster positive relationships with all staff
  • Ability to demonstrate that you are self-motivated with initiative and have good problem-solving skills
  • Have a great outlook on life and a desire to work with a spectacular team

Team Members can expect an overall safety induction and specific safety training in relation to their role. We provide regular safety updates and briefings for all staff as well as conducting safety drills including fire and hazard evacuation drills. Safety is of key concern at all sites, and we have hazard reporting procedures in place, as well as incident reporting and review procedures.
